this was a really cool show. i enjoyed all the bands that played.this was the first of may times we met dan lukasinsky (the suma guitar player). less than jake were to play the next night but i was not able to make it (which pissed me off). so i stayed home and listened to my ltj cd's. i am such a dork:)

we were sitting up in the balcony for this show. we had a really nice spot too. it was right up in the corner where we could sit down and look over the bar and see everything. and we saw a lot that night. social scare rocked. after them came the enkindles. i didn't like them. i can't really pinpoint why i didn't like them, i just didn't. I thought they looked like the dicky barrett fan club. apparently we weren't the only ones who thought they sucked. some crackhead jumped up onstage and punched the lead singer in the mouth. but I'll give the singer man 10 points for being a real trooper. he got back up onstage after a few minutes and says "I was just informed that I was punched in the mouth". he also gets 10 points for his astute observation. but jay got onstage and gave him a hug. it was cute. anyway, they finished their set and then suma came on and rocked which should go without saying.

it wasn't warm outside that day. the POH sign said that it was 18
degrees. when we finally got inside we rocked to the pilfers (numbness
notwithstanding). I had never seen them before and I thought they
were really cool. anyway, after them was the Mr. t experience who
also kicked a bunch. we were boofed by one tavis werts during the
mtx set. it was cool. reel big fish rocked. the end.

vans warped tour
we saw quality bands such as nofx, rancid, deftones, save ferris, voodoo glow skulls, wank, ALL (yay I loooovvvveeee ALL), cherry poppin daddies, no use for a name, and so on and so forth. we also saw the un-quality kid rock. the best part was skankin in the rain to the specials. while we are on the subject of the specials, neville sold us our sno-cones.

wow how did i end up seeing the bumpin uglies again? they broke stuff it was weird. anyway gutterpunx rocked. this also happened to be the weirdest night of my life. i won't go into detail. it was just too strange.

it wasn't so cold this time. anyway we met the reel big fish at this show. they are pretty cool. kater faked boofed Aaron barrett from behind and he almost caught her. we thought that was pretty funny.

I know I mentioned that I love ALL. but I didn't mention that I love ltj just as much. roger got up and sang with ALL making me freak out. and all the bands there rocked. after the show I met chris and he signed my ticket. but d met roger and he sucked her balls. I know what you're thinking you sicko so get your head out of your butt. d is famous for her pocahontas-esque braidy hairdo held together by rubberbands with plastic balls on them. roger found this amusing.

jca rocks. fletcher pratt sucked. some stupid crowd surfer fell on me and left me a nice fat bruise on my arm that is still visible to this day (8-19-99). i hope somebody falls on him.

vinnie hit kater with the door of the shelter. d and jessica got onstage with the pilfers. d got boofed by coolie ranx. spring heeled jack sang some stray cats which made me and kater start swinging. due to lack of experience and my lack of coordination, we looked like dorks.

mustard plug/blue meanies/the hippos
the hippos rocked although the excessive moog sounds irritated big d. the porters also played at this show and were really cool. i remember that d commented on how one of the guys looked like bill gates. while i am on the subject of looks, the singer from the blue meanies has changed his drastically since the last time i had seen them. i was very excited that night because i had never seen mustard plug. they were really cool. during their set some big drunk lady fell on me and gave d a black eye. biatch. anyway, we got to meet mp and d and jim discussed their mutual hero, vinny nobile from the pilfers.
thursday april 8th 1999. saint andrews hall, detroit michigan
buck-o-nine/river fenix/home grown
the balcony was closed off at this show. i was pissed. after the telegraph incident i am scared of the pit. so i stood in the back by myself while my friends stood up front. i got bored so i joined them. no bruises that night. anyway river fenix was really cool. d and jessey got drumsticks from them. home grown was on next. they rocked and stuff. some chick flashed them. i wanted to tell her to put that away we don't wanna see it. jeez. after home grown was buck-o-nine. very very cool. they had 2 people belly dance to win a skateboard. the big huge guy won and the little girl got a t shirt as a consellation prize. after the show we met jonas and anthony. me and jessica were standing by the merch booth waiting for d when the lead singer from river fenix says "hey you two come over here". there was really no need to seeing as how he was already in front of us. he starts talking to jessica saying "why do you look so sad?" jess was pretty tired and she told him that. i was laughing at the guy cuz he was funny. he said "you should be smiling lke that girl" he them mocked my smile. i asked him if he was making fun of me but them he gave us both a hug at the same time. that was interesting. i can't leave out our nice little list...

it rained. it always rains when i am at phoenix plaza. anyway the living end rocked. i met all of them. the bosstones rocked i met ben, "johnny vegas" and dennis. i love ben it was so cool how he could still dance with 40 pounds of water in his shoes.
